Dreadnought Resources to Drill Additional Holes to Confirm Optimal Orientation at Mangaroon’s Steve’s Reward Prospect

Dreadnought Resources (ASX: DRE) is set to drill three new diamond holes to better understand the Steve’s Reward prospect within its Mangaroon Gold project in Western Australia.

The company designed this latest round of reverse circulation (RC) drilling to follow up the 4 metres @ 4.1 grams per tonne gold from 6m and 3m @ 2.9g/t from 7m it intersected in the maiden program at Steve’s Reward, as well as to test stronger gold-in-soil anomaly to the north.

Assay returns from the anomaly included 1m at 10.3g/t gold from 83m to end of hole, and 1m at 5.6g/t gold from 6m.

Queries on Orientation

While Dreadnought hit gold in 12 holes and significantly extended gold bearing lodes, the company is concerned that it might have drilled some of the holes in the wrong orientation.

To clarify this, the additional three holes will include twinning one of the holes that ended in mineralisation—a process the company believes will provide important structural information to assist in future RC drilling.

The results of that program, which Dreadnought has scheduled for later this month, will also inform its planning for 2026 drilling and beyond.

Structural Complexity

“This round of drilling has seen greater structural complexity than before and produced some unexplained gold in soil anomalies—which leads us to believe that […] greater structural understanding is needed to guide the next round of drilling," managing director Dean Tuck said.

"We remain encouraged by what we are seeing at this early stage and look forward to continuing to explore at Steve’s Reward, as well as our other incoming results."

Dreadnought recently completed 70 holes of drilling at Mangaroon to test numerous gold targets alongside Steve’s Reward, including Cullen’s Find, Midnight Star, Midday Moon, Star of Mangaroon, Lesgo, and Pritchard’s Well.

The company expects to receive results from approximately 2,700 samples by the end of this year.
