Ballymore Resources (ASX: BMR) has reported exceptional high-grade silver, lead, zinc, and indium mineralisation from the first reverse circulation drilling at the Torpy’s prospect within its Ruddygore Project in North Queensland.
Drill hole BTPRC002 intersected two massive sulphide shoots at the interpreted junction of northwest- and northeast-trending faults.
The upper intersection returned 6 metres at 226.7 grams per tonne silver, 8.73% lead, 7.58% zinc, and 6.5g/t indium from 87m, including 3m at 350.1g/t silver, 13.05% lead, 10.48% zinc, and 7.7g/t indium.
A second lens reported 16m at 91.6g/t silver, 4.04% lead, 3.67% zinc, and 12.3g/t indium from 125m, including 2m at 285.1g/t silver, 11.74% lead, 6.05% zinc and 24.7g/t indium from 137m.
Ballymore said the results confirm Torpy’s as a high-value polymetallic discovery and strengthen its potential ahead of downhole electromagnetic surveys and follow-up drilling.
Modelled Conductor Targeted
Hole BTPRC001, which targeted a modelled conductor near the historic Torpy’s workings, returned 15m at 1.5g/t silver and 0.22% zinc from surface, suggesting proximity to higher-grade mineralisation.
Ballymore drilled holes BTPRC002 and BTPRC004 specifically to test this concept, noting that individual one-metre samples from the drilling returned assays of up to 412.15g/t silver, 17.43% lead, 16.3% zinc, 46.42g/t indium and 0.35% copper.
Managing director David A-Izzeddin said silver contributed roughly 45% of the in-situ value of the best intercepts.
“With silver doubling in price in 2025 and currently sitting at historic highs of US$57 per ounce, these results confirm Torpy’s potential as a very valuable high-grade silver-lead-zinc discovery,” he said.
Indium, used in touchscreens and high-tech electronics, currently trades at more than US$800/kg.
Follow-Up EM Surveys
Ballymore has paused drilling at Torpy’s so it can conduct downhole electromagnetic (EM) surveys across the first three holes to identify potential off-hole conductors and extensions to the massive sulphide shoots intersected in BTPRC002 and BTPRC004.
The company expects further assays from holes BTPRC003 and BTPRC004 shortly, with early logging confirming significant sulphide intervals in the latter.
Upon completion of the downhole surveys, drilling will move to the Maniopota polymetallic skarn prospect 12km west-north-west of Torpy’s, where rock chips have returned up to 22.20% copper, 31.20% lead, 13.80% zinc, 1.07g/t gold, and 585g/t silver.
Drilling will then return to Torpy’s for follow-up programs targeting strike and plunge extensions of the high-grade lenses, subject to weather conditions.
Mr A-Izzeddin said results across Ruddygore, Maniopota, Seventy Mile Mount, and Dittmer collectively set the foundation for an “exciting 2026” for Ballymore as it expands its Queensland metals portfolio.
