- 01Tim's Dome: broad Au-Cu mineralisation on 2.2km.
- 0213 RC holes, 3,073m; Phase 1 advancing.
- 03AEM conductor ~1.2km; six holes near target.
A fourth batch of assays from Phase 1 drilling at Antipa Minerals’ (ASX: AZY) Minyari project in the Paterson province of Western Australia has intersected further broad gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation across a 2.2 kilometre strike extent.
Drilling at the Tim’s Dome target comprised 13 reverse circulation drill holes for 3,073 metres, materially extending the mineralised footprint across the project’s 4,500 square kilometre landholding.
Best assays were 30m at 0.5 grams per tonne gold from 180m including 3m at 1.7g/t gold from 189m and 1m at 3.5g/t gold from 202m, along with 20m at 0.5g/t gold from 36m including 1m at 6.5g/t gold from 53m, 1m at 1g/t gold from 99m and 1m at 1.2g/t gold from 106m, and 3m at 2.9g/t gold from 16m including 1m at 8.1g/t gold from 17m.
The results included six holes above and adjacent to a large, untested airborne electromagnetic (AEM) conductor that extends for approximately 1.2km, measures up to 470m wide, and remains untested by drilling.
Diamond coring from surface is in progress to test the conductor, following unsuccessful attempts to diamond core tail two RC holes.
Building System Scale
Managing director Roger Mason said the latest results continued to build the scale of the mineralised system at Tim’s Dome.
“Notably, we continue to see mineralisation and strong pathfinder anomalism immediately above and adjacent to the AEM conductor, which remains the key target and which we are drilling from surface to test directly,” he said.
“We are very keen to understand what sits within that target zone and whether the mineralisation we have identified around it forms part of a larger Telfer-style reef system.”
He said RC drilling would continue as the company maintains a focus on new discoveries and further resource growth across the broader Minyari project.
Phase 1 Campaign
Antipa’s ongoing Phase 1 campaign comprises 321 holes for 41,000m, incorporating a combination of air core, RC, and diamond drilling.
314 holes have so far been completed for 37,225m including 102 RC holes for 20,806m at the Tim’s Dome, Fiama North, GEO-01 South, and Yoland targets.
208 air core holes for 14,244m along Yolanda Trend, Chicken Ranch, Parklands, and Jezabeel, and four diamond core holes for 2,175m at GEO-01 Main Zone, WACA, and Minyari North have also been drilled.
The company is aiming to systematically test high-priority regional targets for new gold and copper discoveries and enable further growth to existing deposits.
Drilling is expected to continue through the current quarter, fully funded from Antipa’s existing cash balance and supplemented by grants under the state government’s exploration incentive scheme.
