Antipa Minerals (ASX: AZY) has delivered multiple new gold-copper discoveries from Phase 2 drilling at its Minyari project in Western Australia’s world-class Paterson Province.
The 2025 campaign aimed to find new discoveries from greenfields targets across the 4,500-square-kilometre landholding and expand the existing mineral resource estimate at multiple satellites within the main Minyari Dome deposits.
The final batch of assays featured high-grade intersections 250 metres north of Minyari Dome, new zones of mineralisation at Fiama, several thick gold-copper-silver intersections at Reaper-Poblano-Serrano (RPS), and a new copper discovery at Yolanda.
Antipa has progressed several pre-feasibility technical and non-technical workstreams to further de-risk and refine the development opportunity at Minyari Dome, completing the resource definition component in December, with results received for 81 holes over a total 17,746m.
The company also conducted a pre-feasibility study sterilisation drilling program of 80 reverse circulation holes for 7,134m to test proposed site infrastructure and waste dump locations, however no significant intersections were returned in the final batch of assays.
Highlight Assay Results
A high-grade lode discovered 65m north of the Fiama target returned 24.7m at 1.4 grams per tonne gold and 0.07% copper from 39.3m including 2.3m at 6.8g/t gold and 0.18% copper, open in all directions.
Drilling at Minyari Northern Repeat—250m north of the Minyari deposit—returned 12.2m at 1.2g/t gold and 0.04% copper from 623m including 7.2m at 2g/t gold and 0.06% copper from 628m to confirm a new large-scale and high-impact target zone.
At Yolanda, a best intersection of 44m at 0.07% copper from 40m to end-of-hole including 12m at 0.13% copper from 72m confirmed a 1.2 kilometre-long anomalous copper trend.
High-grade re-splits from south of the Rizzo-Fiama area returned 1m at 39.8g/t gold from 46m to indicate strong, near-surface gold mineralisation.
Thick and shallow gold-copper intersections at RPS delivered a best intercept of 146m at 0.3g/t gold and 0.07% copper from 94m including 20m at 0.6g/t gold and 0.11% copper from 160m to firm it up as a maiden resource opportunity.
Additional Deposit Potential
Antipa managing director Roger Mason said the latest assays indicate the potential for additional Minyari-style deposits to emerge close to the immediate development footprint.
“This reinforces the company’s opportunity to materially grow the mineral resource base around future planned infrastructure,” Mr Mason said.
“At the same time, intersecting thick copper mineralisation […] at Yolanda is a major breakthrough, highlighting the presence of a previously unrecognised, potentially very large scale, copper system beneath shallow cover.”
“Planning for CY2026 drilling is well advanced and field activities are set to commence this quarter, providing further discovery and mineral resource growth opportunities.”
The company intends to incorporate the 2025 drilling results into the updated Mineral Resource Estimate scheduled for release later this month.
