AnteoTech Builds Commercial Momentum With Ultranode 95 Validation

AnteoTech achieves Ultranode 95 validation: ~390 Wh/kg, 300+ cycles; defence-drone potential; raises A$10m, cash A$11.2m, no debt.

AnteoTech (ASX: ADO) has capped a wide-ranging June quarter with independent commercial-format validation of its Ultranode 95 high-silicon anode for drone batteries, new products, and partnerships across its Advanced Battery Technologies (ABT) and Life Sciences (LS) businesses.

Testing by the Battery Innovation Centre (BIC) in Indiana used a 5 ampere-hour multi-layer pouch (MLP) cell and delivered more than 390 watt-hours per kilogram, about 40% greater energy density than conventional graphite-based cells.

The Ultranode 95 cells completed more than 300 charge-discharge cycles at 70% capacity retention, exceeding the 100-to-200-cycle standards cited for defence drone performance and supporting discussions with battery manufacturers and Australian defence-sector suppliers.

AnteoTech also launched Anteo C, progressed a chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) development program, and raised A$10 million before costs through the exercise of listed options, lifting quarter-end cash to A$11.2m with no bank debt.

Drone Cells Clear Validation

BIC described the Ultranode 95 program as one of the most straightforward scale-up efforts it had observed, giving AnteoTech confidence in manufacturability after earlier coin-cell and single-layer pouch validation.

Quality-assessed roll-to-roll samples have been sent to US drone battery manufacturers, while cylindrical cells are being manufactured and trialled at BIC for potential work with Australian defence-sector drone suppliers.

Two non-exclusive joint development agreements remain under negotiation with manufacturers supplying or intending to supply the US defence and broader drone markets, with the commercial-format results strengthening AnteoTech’s position in those talks.

The technology uses low-cost micro-silicon sourced from established suppliers across the US, South Korea, and Europe, supporting supply-chain diversification alongside its energy-density and cycle-life performance.

Battery Portfolio Broadens Reach

AnteoTech signed a strategic collaboration and sales agreement term sheet with South Korea’s Xerabrid Corporation to combine Anteo S with Xerabrid’s separator design, testing, and manufacturing capabilities.

Anteo S is being tested at pilot scale by customers in Asia and the US across battery chemistries including high-silicon, graphite, silicon-composite, lithium-sulphur, lithium-metal, and sodium-ion applications.

Newly launched Anteo C is a water-based cross-linker for primer coatings on copper and aluminium current collectors that is free of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), with a 20-litre sample shipped after successful laboratory and pilot-scale trials for water-based lithium iron phosphate cathode production.

SiMRAX, developed with US-based Black Diamond Structures, is under evaluation by six companies after testing demonstrated more than 50% higher cycle life in high-silicon anode cells at ultra-low nanotube loadings, while further prospective customers are under negotiation.

The ABT portfolio now spans Anteo X, Ultranode, SiMRAX, Anteo S, and Anteo C, with sample, pilot, and commercial-scale supply available from AnteoTech’s 20,000-litre Brisbane facility, which has about 1 gigawatt-hour of expandable annual production capacity.

Miniature Cell Work Continues

Swiss battery manufacturer Wyon AG continued developing and testing proprietary miniature commercial-form cells incorporating Ultranode 70 after validating the product against AnteoTech’s baseline in coin-cell testing during the previous quarter.

The program targets up to about 30% greater energy capacity than Wyon’s current graphite-based commercial batteries for medical technology applications including hearing devices.

Completion of the commercial-form evaluation has been extended, with the parties intending to seek a supply agreement if testing successfully achieves the targeted performance milestones.

AnteoTech is supporting the structured test program through a dedicated team and regular meetings while seeking end-use applications and customers that could support future commercial negotiations.

AnteoBind NXT Launch Planned

AnteoTech completed the initial stage of a collaborative CLIA product development program with a large global life sciences (LS) company, validating AnteoBind NXT activated magnetic particles for large-scale automated diagnostic platforms and recognising A$61,595 of related revenue in FY2026.

The successful work has advanced to a further stage and supports the planned launch of the AnteoBind NXT CLIA Kit at ADLM 2026 in California, moving the LS business towards higher-value bundled solutions with optimised activation protocols.

Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed Cosmo Bio Co was appointed as a non-exclusive Japanese distributor for AnteoBind and related products, establishing a sales channel serving life sciences companies, universities, and public research institutes.

AnteoTech also continued recurring supply under its five-year take-or-pay agreement with the Serum Institute of India, shipping A$134,138 of AnteoBind in early July for recognition as FY2027 income, while additional Indian use cases are emerging across diagnostic formats.

Centralised Brisbane Office

Global sales activities have been centralised at the Brisbane head office following the July departure of vice president of international sales Fabian Beck.

Scott Waddell was confirmed as permanent chief financial officer and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency grant milestone was extended to 15 November 2026.

“The June 2026 quarter has seen significant progress by AnteoTech, both commercially and financially,” chief executive officer Merrill Gray said.

“With three new ABT performance additive products released in FY2026 and pathways into the large global CLIA market identified, we are significantly expanding the markets our products can service and are receiving strong sample demand as a result.”

AnteoTech’s near-term priorities include advancing the two Ultranode 95 JDAs, progressing Anteo S and Anteo C customer evaluations, supporting Wyon’s testing, launching the AnteoBind NXT CLIA Kit, and converting sample programs across both businesses into commercial sales.
