archTIS (ASX: AR9) has licensed its NC Protect data-centric security software to an initial 1,000 users within the US Department of Defense (DoD).

A prime government contractor awarded the deal following extensive testing to find a product that would meet the stringent security and collaboration requirements needed to safeguard the department’s sensitive communications.

NC Protect emerged as the only integrated solution capable of delivering robust, scalable and secure attribute-based access control (ABAC) and data protection to the department’s customised Microsoft DoD365 cloud environment.

Initial licences

archTIS values the initial licences at $38,500 over a six-month period.

The company believes they will support the prime contractor in developing processes and systems in a live production environment to facilitate secure, large-scale and consolidated communications among various US defence commands and allied forces.

archTIS partner Copper River Technologies is managing the procurement of the licences.

Pivotal milestone

archTIS managing director Daniel Lai said the award marked a pivotal milestone in the company’s strategy to penetrate and service the world’s largest defence market.

“This is a key achievement that proves our capability in this competitive sector, which is characterised by extensive compliance requirements and strict security standards,” he said.

“By establishing a foothold in this market, we are actively positioning ourselves to capitalise on future opportunities in government and defence and we believe this will contribute significantly to our overall growth objectives.”

Cutting-edge solutions

archTIS global chief operating officer Kurt A. Mueffelmann said the contract underscored the company’s commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions to solve data security challenges.

“We take great pride in supporting the US DoD in achieving secure collaboration within Microsoft DoD365 and the continued evaluation of NC Protect as the solution for this critical initiative is a testament to our innovative technology and dedication to safeguarding data in the most challenging environments,” he said.

“This milestone marks a significant step forward in the archTIS mission to deliver trusted solutions for global defence and intelligence communities.”

Warfighter rollout

The next stage of NC Protect’s deployment will involve the onboarding of 150,000 users as part of a large rollout across the warfighter network.

The network connects infantry, aviation, artillery, armour, logistics and intelligence, enabling them to operate as a cohesive force and is considered a vital tool that allows for the seamless flow of information and coordination across a distributed force.

Mr Lai said he expects the contract signing to take place in the next few months and for it to serve as a key driver of the company’s growth in financial year 2026.
