Cre8tek (ASX: CR8) has pushed the button on its virtual assistant product for AMP, which enables prospective AMP customers in the US and Australia to interact with the platform and lift AMP’s online sales.

Created by Cre8tek’s 100%-owned subsidiary Flamingo AI, the cognitive virtual assistant platform facilitates online sales of complex financial products.

The virtual assistant works by combining chat, smart workflow, machine learning, natural language processing and automation to guide prospective customers through online purchases. The platform acts as a “guide” and reduces potential “overwhelm”, making financial products easier to buy, Flamingo claims.

According to Flamingo, its platform leads to higher online sales, net promoter scores and efficiency in servicing customers, which has been seen through data collected from existing clients.

Additionally, with each secured online sale, the Flamingo platform learns more about how customers and employees interact.

Flamingo founder Dr Catriona Wallace conceived the platform and the company’s products are patented.

AMP recently went through a soft launch with the virtual assistant and has now entered the “go live” phase, with current implementation “progressing well”.

In addition to AMP, other Flamingo customers have included: National Australia Bank, Nationwide Insurance, Prime Financial, Quay Credit Union and the NY Daily Gazette.

In April 2015, research and advisory company Gartner Inc labelled Flamingo a “cool vendor” in the customer relationship management and customer support category.

Other accolades include top 3 start-up to watch at CeBit and a top20 most promising customer experience management solution provider.

Perth-based Cre8tek snapped up Flamingo AI in November last year via a share sale agreement. The acquisition was part of Cre8tek’s strategy to expand its technology solutions and software development portfolio.
