Alto Metals ASX AME gold results drilling Indomitable Camp Sandstone Gold Project Western Australia

A highlight interval from drilling at the Indomitable Camp was 1m at 87.4g/t gold from 45m.

Perth-based Alto Metals (ASX: AME) has reported significant gold results from ongoing drilling at the Indomitable Camp, as part of a major drilling program at its wholly-owned Sandstone gold project in Western Australia.

New assays from 17 reverse circulation holes for a total of 2,648 metres focused on testing strike extensions of existing mineralisation along the main Indomitable trend.

The work was designed to link structures with the western side of an interpreted fold closure which hosts the Indomitable and Indomitable North deposits.

Best assays

Highlights from one-metre photon assays were 29m at 4.4 grams per tonne gold from 29m, including 1m at 87.4g/t from 45m; 15m at 3.8g/t gold from 44m, including 2m at 18g/t from 49m, and 5m at 4.1g/t from 65m, including 1m at 12.3g/t from 66m; 7m at 1.1g/t gold from 83m and 1m at 24.6g/t from 143m; and 18m at 1.1g/t gold from 32m including 1m at 5.4g/t from 37m, and 5m at 1.4g/t from 101m.

Other results were 12m at 1.6g/t gold from 69m; 11m at 1.1g/t gold from 69m; 4m at 4.3g/t gold from 113m, and 10m at 1.3g/t from 173m; and 11m at 1.1g/t gold from 168m, including 1m at 6.1g/t from 178m.

Extending mineralisation

Alto managing director Matthew Bowles said drilling had “successfully extended” overall mineralisation along strike and at depth.

“Indomitable is continuing to consistently deliver shallow, high-grade gold results and we can clearly see this becoming a much larger mineralised system,” he said.

“These excellent results support our view that there is huge scope to grow the gold inventory at Sandstone.”

Inferred resource

The Indomitable Camp has a current inferred mineral resource of 1.7 million tonnes at 1.3g/t gold for 74,000 ounces (based on an $2,000 pit shell).

The resources are shallow and remain open along strike and at depth.

The Indomitable deposit is situated within a granted mining lease and forms part of the Indomitable Camp, which is defined over a 2km strike length and sits within a gold corridor which also hosts the Vanguard and Havilah deposits within the ‘Alpha Domain’ priority target area.

Mineralisation is hosted within a package of mafic-ultramafic rocks, cross-cut by interpreted major structures.
