Aerometrex reaches $10 million contract milestone for MetroMap imagery platform

Geospatial technology specialist Aerometrex (ASX: AMX) has achieved $10 million in annual contract value for its MetroMap high-resolution aerial imagery subscription platform.
The figure, an increase on the $9.33m annual contract value the company reported at the end of December, represents a compound annual growth rate of approximately 22%.
Aerometrex sees the milestone as a powerful endorsement of the strategic investments it has made into MetroMap’s development.
Increasing customer value
Acting chief executive officer Robert Veitch said the achievement was a sign of MetroMap’s increasing value to customers.
“Our continued growth in annual contract value reflects the trust our customers place in MetroMap and the dedication of our team,” he said.
“This is more than just a financial achievement—it is a validation of our mission to empower customers to make smarter, faster and more informed decisions through an innovative aerial imagery platform.”
Online store
Aerometrex opened the MetroMap online store in March 2020, showcasing a growing archive of off-the-shelf and ultra high-resolution 3D modelled data.
Customers are able to purchase specific 3D datasets, in addition to 2D imagery and 3D model data via subscription.
The online store allows end users to define specific areas, providing filters to select preferred data formats and options to receive data electronically.
LiDAR contract
Aerometrex also recently signed an $875,000 contract with the Queensland government for the acquisition and delivery of high-accuracy airborne LiDAR (light detection and ranging) imagery, concurrent aerial imagery and elevation datasets across the south-west of the state.
The Australian and Queensland governments are jointly funding the project under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements initiative.
“It is pleasing to be awarded this contract which builds on the ongoing relationship we have developed over a number of years with the Queensland government,” Mr Veitch said.
Acting CEO appointment
Aerometrex appointed Mr Veitch to an acting leadership role in February following the resignation of chief executive officer Steve Masters.
Mr Veitch was previously a senior executive and MetroMap general manager with the company and has over three decades of leadership experience building high-performing teams in digital innovation and technology.
He has deep expertise in 3D technology including models, visualisation, simulation, generative AI, immersive applications, scanning and additive manufacturing.
