Adriatic Metals (ASX: ADT) has unveiled a maiden resource for the Rupice polymetallic deposit and an updated resource for the Veovača deposit in in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The maiden Rupice resource starts at surface and extends to 300m depths, with mineralisation remaining open in various directions.

Total indicated and inferred resources for Rupice are now 9.4 million tonnes at 5.1% zinc, 3.3% lead, 183 grams per tonne silver, 1.8g/t gold, 0.6% copper and 31% barite.

The resource was calculated from 106 diamond drill holes including 49 historic holes and the remaining 57 from Adriatic’s various drilling programs.

Commenting on the maiden resource Adriatic executive director Paul Cronin said the Rupice deposit was “world class” and the company plans to extend the known mineralisation through further exploration.

“Our most recent drill holes suggest that high-grade mineralisation continues to the north and our IP survey has indicated, in conjunction with soil geochemistry that further drilling is required on a number of prospects within our existing and expanded concession area.”

“Regardless, we now have a substantial resource inventory for use in [our] initial scoping studies,” Mr Cronin added.

Of the drill holes assayed, 87 intersected mineralised zones that remain open to the north, south and west.

Additionally, recent drilling at Rupice has intersected a thick zone of mineralisation north of the deposit and continues on from previous high-grade intersections.

Assays were 26m at 3.3% zinc, 2.4% lead, 162g/t silver, 0.98g/t gold and 0.3% copper from 232m, including 6m at 8.4% zinc, 6.1% lead, 384g/t silver, 2.24g/t gold, 0.5% copper and 69% barite.

Veovača polymetallic deposit

Adriatic has also revealed an updated resource for the Veovača deposit which now totals 7.4Mt at 1.4% zinc, 0.9% lead, 13% barite, 0.1g/t gold and 41g/t silver.

The updated resource was underpinned by 17 drill holes for 2,340m, with the aim of ensuring there was enough precious metal assays to include silver and gold in the update.

Notable results from drilling at Veovača included 20m at 4.2% zinc, 2.4% lead, 107g/t silver, 0.34g/t gold and 32% barite.
