Tietto Minerals’ (ASX: TIE) Abujar gold project in West Africa has impressed again with more high-grade drill intercepts ahead of a resource upgrade later this month.

Highlight assays from AG Core and AG South deposits were 29m at 4.46 grams per tonne gold from 120m, including 17m at 7.11g/t gold; 2m at 18.55g/t gold from 39m; and 3m at 9.39g/t gold from 94m.

Over at APG, high-grade gold was also uncovered. Notable results were 8m at 6.92g/t gold from 27m, including 2m at 26.25g/t gold; 10m at 3.6g/t gold from 26m, including 8m at 4.30g/t gold; and 7m at 5.08g/t gold from 42m, including 2m at 16.43g/t gold.

Tietto managing director Dr Caigen Wang said the intercepts will increase the resource and boost confidence.

“Our infill drilling program is on track to deliver increased confidence in the mineral resource estimate at both AG and APG.”

“It has successfully confirmed gold mineralisation at or above expectations as we have closed up the inferred drill pattern to indicated resource spacing at these deposits.”

“The potential for uplift in the resource is clearly demonstrated by the ultra-high-grade gold intersected at AG South over a 900m strike length.”

Abujar reserves and resources

Assays from the infill drilling program have been delivered to the independent consultant for resource modelling.

Tietto is anticipating the updated resource will be released before the end of the month.

Current reserves for Abujar stand at 15.7 million tonnes at 1.7g/t gold for 860,000 ounces (maiden open pit).

This is within the AG deposit’s 22.9Mt at 1.5g/t gold for 1.12Moz mining inventory.

Open pittable inferred resources have also been estimated for APG of 8.1Mt at 0.8g/t gold for 200,000oz within Tietto’s expanded project study.

The global resource for Abujar currently stands at 3.02Moz of contained gold.

Dr Wang said the updated resource model will be used in open-pit optimisation studies, with a material increase to reserves anticipated in the definitive feasibility study, which is due for release in the September quarter.

Rapidly advancing Abujar

Tietto is rapidly advancing Abujar with six diamond rigs continuing to drill up to 11,000m a month to fast-track increases to resources.

The company is also completing front end engineering and design programs for developing project with site and camp construction underway.
