Latest assays from Malvina unearthed 1m at 66g/t gold and 19,381g/t silver (343g/t gold equivalent) from 72m.

Copied

Ongoing infill and step-out drilling at Argentina explorer E2 Metals’ (ASX: E2M) Malvina prospect has continued to deliver bonanza intercepts, including one 14m interval grading 2,541 grams per tonne silver and 8.7g/t gold.

Mineralisation in Hole CODD-253 was hit 67m from surface, and includes two higher-grade intervals, one over 7m at 4,759g/t silver and 17g/t gold, the other from 72m with 1m at an impressive 19,381g/t silver and 66g/t gold.

Malvina is part of the company’s the Conserrat gold and silver project located in the Santa Cruz province of Argentina.

Hole CODD-253 went 50m below a previously reported intercept, which returned 4m at 67g/t silver and 1g/t gold from 17m.

The company says this shows grades improve with depth.

This bonanza silver mineralisation at Malvina is associated with an epithermal vein with native silver in drill core samples.

20kg silver

E2 Metals managing director Todd Williams said high-grade mineralisation like that encountered at Malvina rarely occurs in isolation.

“One goal of the current 6,000m drill program is to discover more mineralised shoots just like this in adjacent structures.

“With up to 20kg silver in individual assays, these results from CODD-253 are the best we have seen at Conserrat,” he added.

Malvina hosts what, until recently, was a largely concealed silver and gold mineralised vein and structure located in the central part of Conserrat.

In December, the company reported that scout drilling at the Malvina Sur — located on a separate, and parallel, structure 600m south of Malvina — had returned the first high-grade mineralisation at the prospect, with 119g/t silver 2m and 5.6g/t gold.

More silver-gold hits at Andrea Sur

Malvina and Malvina Sur are located 2km east of Andrea Sur where drilling late last year returned 15m at 16g/t gold and 22g/t silver.

Today E2 Metals also revealed further results from Andrea Sur, and reinforced indications of gold dominating mineralisation there.

One hole returned 16m at 2.6g/t gold and 9g/t silver, including 6m at 5.4g/t gold with 3g/t silver.

The other hole reported today showed 19m at 1.9g/t gold and 14g/t silver, including 2m at 11.8g/t gold and 28g/t silver.

Conserrat is host to a newly recognised epithermal vein field centered 25km along trend from AngloGold Ashanti’s (ASX: AGG) Cerro Vanguardia mine (historical and current reserves 8.9 million ounces of gold and 137Moz of silver).
